Red Sedona Shale Clay. Collected amongst shale stones.

This clay was originally collected sandwiched between large chunks of shale stone. As soon as the stones were popped apart, I knew that by the smell in the air I hit gold in clay form! It has a very pleasant earthy flavor, yet different from other clays from Sedona, AZ. The unique texture alone makes me want to keep collecting more.
